About the Project:

This project within AI2030 explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and the arts, examining how AI can responsibly support and shape creative industries. Led by Roshmond "Sum" Patten, this initiative is pioneering research on the ethical, creative, and social implications of AI integration in artistic and cultural spaces. Through roundtables, content creation, and public research outputs, the project aims to create a framework that guides responsible AI use within creative communities.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work directly on an innovative project exploring AI’s impact on the arts. As a Marketing and Research Intern, you’ll contribute to meaningful research and outreach strategies that foster an understanding of AI’s role in the future of creativity and culture. This is an ideal position for candidates passionate about AI’s societal impact and eager to engage with leaders across both tech and creative industries to drive responsible, community-centered AI practices.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Marketing and Research Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AI-related research and marketing strategies within a fast-growing, mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will support both our marketing efforts and our research initiatives, helping to raise awareness of AI2030’s mission and contribute to our knowledge base on responsible AI practices.


Key Responsibilities:

Marketing:

  • Assist in developing and executing digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and member engagement.

  • Manage AI2030’s social media accounts, creating content and tracking performance across platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).

  • Support the creation of newsletters, blog posts, and marketing collateral to promote events, initiatives, and thought leadership pieces.

  • Help organize and promote webinars, workshops, and virtual events.


Research:

  • Conduct research on key AI trends, responsible AI frameworks, and global AI governance.

  • Support the creation of research reports, whitepapers, and articles on AI-related topics, focusing on Responsible AI and industry best practices.

  • Assist in gathering data and insights from AI2030 members and external stakeholders to inform AI policy, industry trends, and research priorities.

  • Track and analyze AI policy and regulatory developments worldwide.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Science, AI, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in AI and its societal impact, particularly in Responsible AI.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and marketing software (experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or similar tools is a plus).
